Meet Dr. Paul Kobernick

Dr. Paul Kobernick currently maintains an active, private endodontic (root canal therapy) practice in Chevy Chase, Maryland and has been associated with the fields of Endodontics for more than 25 years.

He received his postdoctoral degree in Endodontics from Harvard University and Forsyth Dental Center, Boston Massachussetts. He received his Dental degree and Bachelor of Science degree from McGill University in Montreal, Canada.

Dr. Kobernick is a Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics and a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists (Canada). He has lectured internationally in the field of Endodontics and has taught courses for dentists at the University level. Dr. Kobernick is a Past President of various Quebec Association of Endodontists. Dr. Kobernick is currently an active member of the American Association of Endodontists.

Board Certification (also known as Diplomate status) is the highest level of achievement in Endodontics. Only those Endodontists (Root Canal Specialists) who have a superior level of diagnostic skill, clinical proficiency, and professional judgment are able to complete successfully the very long and difficult certification process.

By being Board Certified, like Dr. Kobernick, an Endodontist has gone beyond the endodontic specialty education and licensing requirements of the American Dental Association and the State Board of Dentistry.
