Older patients are welcome Dr. Kobernick has extensive experience dealing with patients who are older. He has performed root canal therapy on patients who were over 100 years old and many in their 90's. Treatment of older patients may require extra time, additional patience and certain precautions.  The treatment of older patients is an art that our office is proud to provide.

The architectural design of the office was specifically planned to facilitate the handling of patients who may have walkers or wheel chairs.

Patients who may be fearful of dental procedures Dr. Kobernick and his staff are extremely effective in dealing with patients who are fearful or nervous of dental procedures, especially root canal therapy. One of the most effective ways of relieving anxiety is to answer your questions and that is why we emphasize the personalized care approach. As much as possible, Dr. Kobernick schedules extra time for each appointment so that he can discuss the procedure and answer any questions you may have.

Our office has a very open and relaxed feel. The rooms are large with wide windows and you can relax and move around as you like. There are over 25 current magazines for you to read or you can bring your own personal player if you wish to listen to music.

Other means to reduce your anxiety Dr. Kobernick also offers nitrious oxide sedation (laughing gas or conscious sedation) for nervous patients.  With this type of sedation, you will be awake but in a very relaxed state. Another method we use to control your anxiety is oral premedication. Dr. Kobernick will prescribe medication for you to take before your appointment.  This medication will reduce your nervousness and make the appointment much easier for you.
